What do Foster Parents say?

A foster parent who is new to the program:
"As for my team...
...They are most faithful, showing up to baby sit as we run our own children to their scheduled events.
...Tutoring our little ones; even though I work with them, our volunteer somehow manages to get them to really pay attention and gets more accomplished. 
...Bringing dinner in each week is a blessing, otherwise it would probably be cereal or french toast.
...This month they are going to baby sit so we can have a date night.
...It has been hard for me to open up and let go of some of my responsibility. What a wonderful team who are so willing to be so helpful and listen to me vent at times. 
...I think they are getting more comfortable with the kids also."

A foster parent who has been in the program for about a year:
"My friends are like my eyes in the back of my head.  They let us parent and help support us in whatever we need.  We are usually on the same page and they care for my kids as much as I do.  They have embraced my entire family, not just the kids, and have taken a role in their upbringing.  My children now know them as friends of the family and I would trust them to always have my kids best interests at heart. Our family loves our friends."
